Duh, Matriarchy.
Our Mission Statement
We are supporting matriarchy—one purchase at a time.
Duh, Matriarchy exists for women who refuse to shrink. We create bold, unapologetic products for the rebellion you're already living. Every item is a statement. Every purchase is an act of resistance.
And here is our weapon: 20% of our profits go directly to the Joyful Heart Foundation—a national organization founded by Mariska Hargitay to transform society's response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse.
We don't just talk about change. We fund it.
100% of tips at checkout will be donated. The more you give, the greater difference we can make.
Who We Are
We are the women who are tired of explaining.
Tired of justifying our anger. Tired of asking for safety. Tired of watching survivors fight alone while the world looks away.
So we stopped asking.
We started creating. Not because products change the world on their own—but because what you wear, use, and surround yourself with says something. And what we say is this:
Duh, Matriarchy.
Because the answer has always been obvious. Women deserve power. Survivors deserve justice. And the old way of doing things? It's over.
What We Believe
We believe that what you consume is a front line.
The products you choose signal your values before you say a word. So we create products that signal rebellion, strength, and solidarity.
We believe that profit has a purpose.
Money is a tool. We choose to use ours for healing. Twenty percent of our profits go to the Joyful Heart Foundation—funding advocacy, awareness, and policy change for survivors of sexual assault.
We believe in the matriarchy.
Not patriarchy with women on top. Something new. Something built on care, community, and collective power. A return to our historic roots before patriarchy took over. A world where safety isn't a privilege. Where survivors are believed. Where every woman has what she needs to thrive.
Who We Support
The Joyful Heart Foundation
Founded in 2004 by actress and activist Mariska Hargitay (a.k.a Olivia Benson, Law & Order: SVU), the Joyful Heart Foundation works to transform society's response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. They advocate for survivors. They push for policy change. They heal.
And we are proud to stand with them.
What your purchase funds:
-
Advocacy for survivors in the legal system
-
Awareness campaigns that change public perception
-
Policy reform that holds abusers accountable
-
Healing resources for survivors and the people who care for them
Not sure what to say to a survivor? Visit joyfulheartfoundation.org for resources, education, and ways to help.
We go beyond the US. We have a footprint in France and the EU, with order fulfillment locations to coincide with the purchase location. Donations for orders placed outside of the US will be sent to an organization supporting survivors in that country. We want to take our support global.
You can help us make an impact on lives and outcomes that matter. Together, we can do more.
Why We Started
Because the statistics are unbearable. Because the silence is complicity. Because every time a survivor speaks up and the world listens, something shifts.
We started with a single phrase: "Duh, Matriarchy." Because sometimes the smallest rebellion sparks the biggest change.
We are not waiting for permission. We are not asking nicely. We are building something new—and we want you to be part of it.

Our Plans Are Bigger Than Clothes
This idea is more grand. It's just the beginning. It's about self-care and self-actualization.
Soon we will release new products that improve our lives through health, safety, and pleasure.
Self-care is an act of resistance to the patriarchal system that keeps us in survival mode. We believe everyone should have access to prosperous and peaceful lives.
